This latest edition of Martial Monday focuses on the art of pressure point fighting. This video showcases the basic pressure points of the arm with potential applications when dealing with an attacking assailant. Very similar to the Torite Jujitsu system that I study, this pressure point system revolves around the un-working and reversal of the Chinese accupuncture system or the 'Constructive' and 'Regulatory' cycles. Scott Rogers has a whole series of these videos addressing different areas of the body and their corresponding pressure points. You can find them by searching Scott Rogers on Youtube. Knowledge of these points are vital to the fight director or choreographer as they can add another flavor to your creative process. And from a martial standpoint, they take martial arts training to a higher level.
